Improving customer experience

ETHICAL
Accessibility is about making goods and services accessible to all people, regardless of their ability or disability. We all have the same right to access products and services, but accessibility legislation change has been slow. Diversity and inclusion initiatives should always lead to action, such as training, added services and deployment of accessibility technologies where possible.

FINANCIAL
An inaccessible location immediately creates problems, and a barrier, not just for people with disabilities or additional needs. What helps a wheelchair user in your establishment does so equally for a parent with young children. In fact, over 23% of people over 16 report difficulties accessing products and services. Those with disabilities account for a potential market value of £274 bn per annum.

CULTURAL
The broad positive culture shift that comes with increased accessibility, wider diversity and inclusion for all public spaces is obvious. With increased independence comes a positive self-image, increased quality of life and superior integration, which is rightly becoming an expected part of the public experience.
Within communities, self-service cafe venues are important so it follows that inclusion and accessibility is essential.

“As a young wheelchair user, I rely entirely on having someone with me to help me access public cafes. traydle® offers a solution to an obvious problem experienced by so many. Why has no one thought of this simple device before now?”
Kayleigh, Huddersfield
“Being almost 70 years of age I have struggled through the stages of womanhood! As a mother with a pram then a toddler, and when in my middle years I developed a balance issue. traydle® is useful for any age or fitness level groups.”
Chris, Skipton
“An accident left me with slipped discs. You don’t notice the lack of support until you need it. traydle® can give back independence as it would offer me the chance to go to places I would otherwise have needed assistance. and someone come with me”

ABOUT TRAYDLE®
A mission, with a passion
ABOUT TRAYDLE®
A mission, with a passion
THE MISSION
traydle® is for anyone to safely transfer a self-service café tray from a service counter to a table. A compact and well-balanced design, traydle® enables customers to remain confidently independent.
traydle® was founded by Anne Wyn-Jones. For 18 months, after an arm injury, Anne struggled to operate with the same level of independence she had previously enjoyed.
Our mission at traydle® is to shine a light on the power to enable personal independence for as long as possible. For customers’ benefit, it should be a priority for hospitality venues to improve accessibility and inclusiveness
From traydle® to table!

ANNE WYN-JONES
Founder and CEO
The catalyst for traydle® was due to an arm injury and its restricted movement. Curtailing Anne’s independence was one thing, yet becoming dependent upon another to carry a tray, ‘was just silly’.
Other than a traditional handheld tray there was no alternative equipment so Anne designed traydle®
As a dyslexic, Anne knows how to persevere, remain resilient, and motivated to succeed.
traydle® enables a user to continue to socialise, remain independent, and do things for themselves, which are key to health and well-being.
“In June 2022, I had a lower back operation; my recovery process was very slow and I was unable to lift things. Had traydle® been available at the supermarket cafe, I would have transferred it to a table without having to ask someone do so.”
Richard, Helmsley
“In February 2016, my wife and I were involved in a major road accident. It did take me a long time to recover and I’m now registered disabled. I am a man who wants to do things for myself and not have to rely on others, and traydle® is ideal”
Graeme, Harrogate
“Twice a week I go to hospital for dialysis. I like to go out to coffee shops but cannot lift a tray and ask staff which makes me feel old and helpless. Why should I have to tell staff why I need help? When they’re busy staff aren’t always available”
Delia, Easingwold
